Am back to blogging after a hiatus. There weren't too many concerts in Bangalore since last few months (and I was busy with work too.) Unnikrishnan was accompanied by Charulatha Ramanujam on the violin, senior Vidwan A.V.Anand on the Mridangam and Srisylan on the Ghatam. List of songs rendered : 1.) SAmiNeeTodi - PantuvarAli Varnam - Adi TAlam 2.) Sugunamule - Chakravakam - St. Thyagaraja - Rupakam 3.) Varali - karunayelA kanden - St. Thyagaraja - Adi I have always liked Unni's renditions of Varali. This was no exception. The only other recording of this kriti which I have listened to is by Semmangudi SrinivAsaier. 4.) Dhanyasi - bAlakrishnaPAdamalar - PApanasham Shivan - Adi 5.)
