Rudrapatnam brothers @ Ramaseva Mandali, Fort High school , 2008

Vocal Duet - Rudrapatnam Brothers (Sri R N Thyagarajan and Sri R N Tharanathan).
Violin - Sri V V Ravi. (Couldn't recognize him as I have seen photos of his when he was much younger and had black hair)
Mridangam - Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri Umayalpuram Sivaraman.
Khanjira - Sri N Amruth.

This was one of the earliest concerts we attended at Ramaseva Mandali this year. Rudrapatnam brothers have been favorites of mine and I have always made it a point to attend their concerts in Bangalore.

01 Tulasidala - Mayamalavagowla- St. Thyagaraja - Rupakam
02 Guruleka Etuvanti - Gowri Manohari- St. Thyagaraja - Jhampa Talam
03 Chanitodi - Harikamboji - St. Thyagaraja -Adi Talam
04 Dhanyudevvado - Malayamarutham - Varada Venkatesha (sounded a lot like Ramapriya to me) Elaborate alapana by the elder of the two brothers followed by VVRavi.
05 Manasa Sri Ramachandruni - Isa Manohari- St. Thyagaraja -Adi Talam
06 Marakatha Mani Varna - Varali - St. Thyagaraja -Adi Talam. Detailed alapana by younger of the two. Neraval and swarams at "vara bhakta suparNa vAhana" followed by a scintillating Thani Avarthanam.
07 Bhakta Jana Palaka - Ananda Bhairavi

Rest of the concert which we missed included these songs.
08 Apudu Manasu - Khamas
09 Uyyala Loogavayya - Neelambari
10 Javali - Kedaragowla
11 Rama Embuva Eradu
12 Thillana - Shankarabharanam
13 Mangalam

An excellent concert on the whole. Liked their Varali the most among all songs we listened to.
